Not much really happens here on the island that is that news worthy. However I will try to post events, happenings and concerns that occur on the island, that may be of interest to some that have visited the island in the past.

Well, just another movie being made on Koh Larn. Koh Larn gets it's share of production companies comming to the island to do their shoots. This one is a Thai movie and the title of it is DE MIER translated means the wife. This is the fouth movie I have personally seen being filmed here, companies from all over the world have used this Island for filming.

The Thai Royal Forest Department imported thousands of trees to be planted about the island. Most of the trees are slated to be planted on the hills surrounding the Samae Beach area. An event was held to kick off the planting that will last for several weeks to follow. Hundreds of locals as well people from the city attended the event that was set on the hillside overlooking Samae Beach. Everyone in attendance was given the opportunity to plant their own tree on the hillside here for the enjoyment of the generations to follow.

Koh Larn website is in it's third month now. Hits for the site have almost doubled in the month of March over February to over a hundred. Considering that there is no advertising and almost no hits coming from search engines, I feel pretty good about that. The stats also show visitors coming in from all over the world which makes me feel even better. I would like to at this time express my gratitude to all that have visited the Koh Larn website. Some changes on Samae Beach

Construction of the new resort area on Samae Beach is moving along as fast as ever. All the buildings are first class and should turn out to be a very nice place to stay. It also seems to me that allot of careful thought has gone into preserving the natural environment as best that can be done. This resort however makes for a big change for the residents as well as the tourist that come here. Samae Beach will never be the same as it was in the past whether good or bad time will tell.
